Champlain Valley Builders Exchange maintains a plan room at 5436 Peru Street, Plattsburgh, New York 12901. The Plan Room is available to members 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Plans are available for members use in the Plan Room for estimating. Also Equipment is available for copying specifications and a Xerox 3030 Copier is available to copy Plans.
Members may request plans not available in the Plan Room by contacting the Plan Room telephone answering and leaving a message. The telephone at the Exchange is monitored daily.
MEMBERSHIP is composed of two types: Members and Associate Members.
MEMBERS are any person, corporation, unincorporated association or partnership who furnishes a service directly or indirectly to the construction industry.
ASSOCIATE MEMBERS are banks, architects, engineering firms, insurance companies and investment firms.
EXCHANGE FACTS. The Champlain Valley Builders Exchange was established in the 1950's for the sole purpose for Industry Advancement.
The purpose of the Exchange is to establish fair and equitable trade practices within the membership and between the membership and other companies or organizations allied with the building industry; encourage and protect all parties in building industry and provide assurance to the consumers of the ability, integrity, and fair dealings of the member; act as a clearing house for applicable business information; keep members informed in regard to legislation affecting the building industry in local, state and national governments, and take appropriate action on such legislation; perform public relations on behalf of the Exchange and it members.
